Speakeasy
Privacy Policy
Effective July 19, 2026
Who we are
Speakeasy (speekeasy.io) builds AI-powered phone receptionists for small businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, email, business name, and billing details when you create an account or subscribe.
- Call transcripts and summaries — when your AI receptionist answers a call, we process transcripts and generate summaries on behalf of our customers (the business that owns the receptionist). Call recording is off by default; if a business enables it, its greeting must disclose recording to callers.
- Website and demo data — the website address you submit to build a demo agent and the content our systems read from it.
- Usage data — minutes used, feature usage, and diagnostic logs that keep the service reliable.
How we use it
To provide and improve the service, generate your receptionist and its call summaries, bill your subscription, send the notifications you ask for, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
SMS and phone numbers
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text alerts are optional, off by default, and governed by our SMS Terms. Reply STOP to any message to opt out.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers required to run Speakeasy (voice infrastructure, telephony, payments, hosting), each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us — and never for their own marketing.
Retention and your choices
We keep account data while your account is active and call data per your plan settings. You can export or delete your data, or close your account, by contacting us. Demo agents and their data are automatically deleted within 24 hours.
