Keep your business number

Connect the number your customers already know.

Your provider forwards selected incoming calls to your assigned Speekeasy number. You keep your existing phone service and can turn forwarding off at any time.

1

Confirm your Speekeasy line

Call the assigned Speekeasy number directly from another phone. This proves the receptionist works—not that forwarding is active.

2

Change your carrier setting

Choose missed, all, or supported after-hours calls and enter your assigned number.

3

Test the original number

Call the business number customers already use. Let it follow the rule you selected and confirm Speekeasy answers.

How to know it worked

Call your original business number from a different phone. For missed-call forwarding, do not answer the business line; wait for Speekeasy to pick up. A successful direct call to the Speekeasy number only verifies the receptionist line itself.

After-hours routing depends on your provider or phone system. Business hours saved in Speekeasy do not change your carrier’s routing schedule.
